The room, bathroom and hotel were impeccably clean. The hotel is an old building with original lead pane windows, protected by a second pane to keep out the cold and noise. The atmosphere is calming and attractive. We had chosen this hotel for its location, which is very close to the train station but also close to the attractions of Oxford. We will return because of its quality. Be aware that there is no lift. The staff insisted on carrying our luggage to our room. All levels of staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, have been helpful and pleasant. Good value. Absolutely 5 stars.

Close to train station, easy to find. The most welcoming and helpful staff, gave us ideas for tours, tips for meals and our own map. It is also walking distance to everything you would want to see in Oxford and in case you need your drop shopping back mid way through!Rooms are clean and tidy, heating and cooling as required with lovely view over Bath. Highly recommend it for an easy trip to Oxford.

We stayed at the Royal Oxford for these 3 nights. From the time we first entered the hotel until we left, we were very impressed with the friendly, accommodating and helpful staff. They are to be commended for making these guests feel so comfortable. Our room was very comfortable, cleanliness throughout was good, location and security were great. We are pleased to recommend your hotel to fellow travelers.
